Bangkok businesses and Google
Bangkok is Thailand’s largest and most competitive search market. It has 50 districts, and in almost every category there are competitors who built their websites years ago. Buyers in Bangkok research before they make contact, and procurement teams compare several suppliers before asking for a quote. A website that cannot answer their questions drops off the shortlist at the first step.
Southern Whale has no office in Bangkok. Our team is based in Ranong, Krabi and Phuket, and we have worked remotely for a number of Bangkok businesses. The real cases are listed in the “Real work in Bangkok” section above, each one explaining what we found and what we proposed.
What we usually find on Bangkok business websites
Hundreds of pages, a handful of rankings
Long-running company sites often carry a large stock of product pages and articles, yet Search Console shows rankings for little beyond the brand name. Common causes: sales pages rendered with JavaScript that Google does not see, duplicate pages from several URL patterns, and headings that do not use the words buyers actually search.
A website narrower than the business
Many companies run several lines of business, but the website talks about one. Customers searching for the others never find it. Our audit maps the real customer groups and gives each one a page of its own.
Fear of losing rankings in a migration
Moving from a hosted builder to WordPress or a custom stack without complete 301 redirects throws away rankings and links in one go. We map every existing URL before the move and check again after launch.
SEO first, or ads first?
Some businesses need leads quickly; others can build for the long run. We look at real search demand and competitor strength for your keywords and recommend an order, instead of selling every service at once.
How we work with Bangkok businesses
- Free initial audit. Send your link through LINE; we check structure, indexing and the keywords you rank for today.
- Plain-language findings. What to fix first, what can wait and what is not worth doing.
- Fixes or a new build, within the agreed scope, with progress shared over LINE and online documents.
- Follow-up from Search Console: which pages are indexed, which keywords move, and what to adjust next.
See SEO Audit, SEO Services, Website Development and Website Migration.
Does remote work actually work?
Almost all website and SEO work happens on a computer: audits, keyword research, writing and code. The few things that need someone on site, such as photos of a shop or products, are usually things the client already has or can shoot. Every Bangkok case on this page was handled remotely.
What we do not do
- No links bought from private blog networks and no tactics that risk a penalty
- No fake reviews or star ratings in schema markup
- No promises about numbers we cannot control. We do not guarantee rankings, but we will do our best.
Getting started

Frequently asked questions
Your team is in Southern Thailand. Can you work with a Bangkok business?
Yes. We work remotely: the team is based in Ranong, Krabi and Phuket, and we talk through LINE and video calls. Every Bangkok case study on this page was done that way.
Do you guarantee first-page rankings?
No. Nobody controls Google's algorithm, so we do not guarantee rankings, but we will do our best and tell you up front which keywords are realistic and which should wait.
What do you need for a free audit?
Your website link and a short note on what you sell and who buys it, sent through our LINE OA. Access to Google Search Console lets us look deeper.
Our site runs on a hosted website builder. Do we have to rebuild it?
Not always. Many sites can be fixed on the current platform. If a move is needed, we 301-redirect every old URL so existing rankings and links carry over.
